This is for Tropical Fusion- The Camouflaged Frog

Inks and Fluid Acrylics on Watercolor Paper.

I started out by blowing the inks with a straw, creating odd blobs.

Then the nose of a frog appeared.

I LoVe Intuitive Painting!

I defined the frog and leaves with green then blew some orange for the flowers.

And separated the background with our Radiant Orchid.

A little more detail to the outlines and a few more blobs of  green.

More to come…

Here it is. I'm finally able to share my new fabric collection. P&B Textiles is such a great company.

The collection will debut at the International Quilt Market October 25-27 2013

I can't wait to see pictures of everything created and crafted from the fabric, so make sure to send in pics. I will post them here.

Also....a big thank you to The Pattern Observer for sharing the fabric too!

Well here it is August.

I have been busy playing catch-up after completing Part A of Lilla Rogers e-course, Make Art That Sells. If you have ever taken an e-course and wondered what happened to the instructor, you won't have that issue in this course. Lilla is very involved in the course and continues to keep in touch with us through our FB group. She IS our Fairy Art Mother. I had the priviledge of meeting Lilla in May at Surtex, I knew then that she was awesome and I had registered for an amazing course.

So, my catch-up has been continuing with the new art I created in the course. We have 5 great pieces to grow into collections.

One of the things I learned during the course is your website is an expression of YOU, so I had to do a complete overhaul. If you saw my previous site it WAS me. I loved the colors and all the links and the business, but I couldn't update it or make changes very easily. My friend did a great job with it, but I couldn't understand the backside of it. And that is very important. So take the time, understand the in's and out's and show who you are through your site.

So, Get Crackin'
