By His Stripes

Original mixed media and acrylic. 40 x 40. Stretched canvas. This painting represents the blood shed and suffering of Jesus, for our eternal life. As I painted this piece I noticed an eye. I added another blotch of paint for the other eye. Above the eye, the paint appears to be the crown Jesus wore when he was hung on the cross.
